UPDATED 5/10/20

As you have probably heard by now, Governor Kemp announced that gyms can open for “minimum business operations” on Friday, April 24th. While some might interpret this to mean they can re-open, we don’t feel this is the best approach to ensuring the safety of our wrestlers and families.

So what does this mean for Level Up?
We want to do the responsible thing and come up with a phased approach while we monitor the flattening of the curve. Things will remain fluid and we will adjust as necessary to make sure we are focused on everyone’s safety.

**For the below Phases, anyone using the gym cannot have had any symptoms OR been in contact with anyone who had symptoms or a positive test (even without symptoms) for the previous 14 days and must have been following the shelter in place guidelines.**

We will also be taking all necessary precautions to disinfect with a mist sprayer and clean between sessions.

Phase I: April 26th – May 2nd: Pairs Only

  • You can book time at the gym with a family member or partner. The schedule will be 11am – 8pm Mon-Fri & Sun. (however Tu/Th Zoom practices will remain on the schedule).
  • You must book online at http://levelupwrestling.com/schedule/ and give at least an hour notice. If you have any issues, please contact us.
  • Zoom classes and Edmodo training will keep going
  • Will it cost anything?
    • This will be included if you have active membership
    • If you have 6 pack drop-in credits already, each session will use a credit just like a practice
    • Non-member Drop ins will be $20 like any other class

Phase II: May 3rd – May 31st – Small Groups

  • Booking Time – Small groups of no more than 4 can book time at the gym for 1hr increments to wrestle or do conditioning
  • Private Sessions – We will start back private sessions for 2-4 people only with minimal contact by the coach. No one-on-one sessions.

The timeframe for how long we do this will depend on the continued flattening of the curve. Private sessions will first be allotted to those who were previously on a weekly schedule.

Phase III – June 1st – Practices Resume

This will likely be in some limited fashion with more details to come and separated groups in different parts of the mat.

Summer Camps Moved to July

We are planning to have our camps but will move them all to July. We may put a smaller maximum number of wrestlers, separate groups on the mat and have shifts for breaks. If you sign up and the camp doesn’t occur, you will receive a full refund. Sign up at www.levelupwrestling.com/camps

July 6 – 9: Escapes & Reversals Camp (no change to the date)
July 13 – 16: Takedown Domination Camp
July 20 – 22: Beginner Fundamentals Camp
July 27 – 30: Breakdowns, Tilts & Turns Camp

Thank you for everyone’s patience and I appreciate all of those who have continued to participate in our virtual training.
